This is intended as a guide to onboard a newly deployed Lit Protocol Datil Mainnet node
See Datil Mainnet Node Provisioning Guide if you don’t have one already
If you already have a node on an old network and need/want to migrate it to a new network, see

.Information about your node setup from Datil Mainnet Node Provisioning Guide including
The “Admin Wallet” - An ethereum wallet you will use for administrating the node. This wallet will have the ability to update your node config, initiate key backups, and other critical functions. It is extremely important that you keep this wallet secure. We recommend a ledger connected to metamask.
The “Staker Wallet” - An ethereum wallet you will use for staking with the node. This wallet will be able to stake and join, or unstake and leave on behalf of your node. We recommend a ledger connected to metamask. You should share this wallet address with Lit so that we can send your Lit Tokens for staking purposes. When you withdrawal your staking rewards, they will be deposited into this address.
The “Node Wallet” - An ethereum wallet that your node will use for sending txns, standing as the primary method for managing coordination among the Lit nodes. This wallet will be generated as part of the “Stake and set node info” step. Save it and store it somewhere safe, because you will need to pass the private key to the node when you install it on your server. You should not use a hardware wallet for this.
It is important that the node wallet always has a sufficient amount of Lit tokens in order to pay gas fees on the Lit Rollup, Chronicle. We are currently working on an automated “top up” mechanism to ensure the required balance is maintained. You’ll have a chance to fund it with Lit tokens when you generate it for the “Stake and set node info” step.
Message a member of the Lit Team with a request for Lit Tokens. You must tell the Lit Team your staker address, so we know where to send the tokens.
